The Promo Clip For Eddie Murphy’s Return To SNL Has Me Beyond Hyped

Man, if anyone knows how to launch a great comeback, it’s Eddie Murphy.

It felt like it had been a hundred years since we’ve seen or heard from Eddie Murphy, and that’s because, well — ihardinda had. Up until very, very recently, he hadn’t appeared in a major blockbuster since Tower Heist in 2011, his last film was in the small-budget drama Mr. Church in 2016, and it’s been literal decades since he’s blessed us with a stand-up performance. In fact, his only recent appearance in well, any form, was on Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Andting Coffee. and a 40-minute long episode was really only enough to make us miss him more.

But as we all know, Eddie Murphy’s backOctober, heway. In October he wowed audiences andDolomite alike in Dolemite Is My Name, and he’s got a lot more coming up — a confirmed Netflix stand-up special in 2020, the long-awaited Coming to America sequel with James Earl Jones, Tracy Morgan, Wesley Snipes, and, of course, Arsenio Hall, AND.

Along with the above video, SNL also posted a teaser and welcome-back clip ahead of tomorrow’s episode, and it’s only 55 seconds long but HOLY HELL IS IT THE MOST EXCITING 55 SECONDS EVER.
